The recently enacted Ohio Department of Health stay-at-home order requires religious organizations to comply with strict regulations to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Particularly, the order requires that we maintain six feet of social distancing during Mass, which is effectively impossible given the small size of our church. Therefore public Masses are cancelled as long as the order is in force.
That said, providing the sacraments remains St. Peregrine's highest priority. For the bread of God is that which cometh down from heaven and giveth life to the world (John 6:33). We are actively investigating possible ways to provide Holy Eucharist and Confession in accordance with the lawful order. More information will be forthcoming.
